Calorific value of biomass pellets

Biomass pellets as a green and environmentally friendly alternative energy, being made by different kinds of materials, which contains with high calorific value and low ash. This article will shows you several hot-sales biomass pellets in the market.

Pinus sylvestris pellets, with a calorific value ranging from 4200 to 4750 Kcal, and an ash content between 0.5% and 0.8%.  Pellets made by Pinus sylvestris pellet well known as its high-CV with less ask while burning. Good selling in the pellet market.

Spurce pellets, with calorific value 4100 - 4200 Kcal and 1.5 - 2.0% ash content. Compared with sylvestris pine pellets, the ash content of Spurce pellets is slightly higher, but still at a acceptable level. The pellets are made of Spurce wood, which has a high heat energy release.

Pine wood pellet is the most popular product in the market. Its calorific value is between 4000 and 4100, with ash content 4%. Raw materials are easier to collect with lower cost to make it hot in the market.

Square wood, normally made by pine, basswood, fir and other materials as semi-product being used in construction sites. Square wood pellets with high calorific value which exceeding 4000 Kcal and high density, ash content is abut 4%. The square timber wood used in the construction site can be reused, why not do it?

Wood Pellet making by the demolition waste has a low calorific value about 3900 Kcal  and 6% ash content. After pellet making, now the demolition waste becomes effective fuel energy with economical market cost.

Mixed Wood pellets with the heating about 3800-3900 Kcal and ash 5-7% content. The mixture wood come from a variety of sources, such as teak, elm, beech, walnut, and nanmu, etc.

The template building formwork can be used for pellet making also. Its calorific value 3750 Kcal  and its ash content 7-9%. Without pellet making, the template building formwork will be treating as waste, so it is sustainable usage of the waste, we are turning waste into treasure.

Corn cob as the agriculture waste, being raw materials as biomass pellets making,  with a relatively low calorific value and low ash content. Its calorific value 3600Kcal  and ash content is 3-4%. Very popular for the Industry of Agricultural waste treatment.

Corn Silk pellets are less common in the market. Because its heating value only 3000-3300, and its ash content 12-16%.

Biomass fuel pellets are an important renewable energy source. It is not only efficient and environmentally friendly, but also has a wide range of applications. We believe that with the continuous advancement of technology and the continuous promotion of applications, biomass particles will play a more important role in the future energy field.
